Please get in touch with us first via phone, our inquiry form or email. We will then schedule an online meeting or school tour to give you more information about our school. If your child is eligible, you can then enroll.
In the Netherlands children start school at 4 years of age - the day after their 4th birthday. However, it is only mandatory to start schooling at the age of 5.
This depends on the age of your child, for younger children there is no Dutch and/or English required in order to join. From group 6 onwards a sufficient level of Dutch and English is needed.
Yes, children can start at all times during the school year. It is mandatory for children to be in school from the age of 5, as soon as possible after arrival in the Netherlands.
Depending on your child's age and knowledge of the languages, we offer different levels of support. For example in the classroom with co-teaching, working in a smaller group environment or joining a language class within school hours.
We teach all of the subjects in both languages.
We ask a registration fee of € 50 per family and an annual fee of € 400 per student.
We have a maximum classroom size of 26 students.
We offer group 1 to group 8.
For the first couple of years there will be no homework. In the upper years, there will be homework on occasion.
No, we only offer primary education for children aged 4-12.
At I-St@rt and RISE we do not have a school uniform. Children should wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing.
All materials are provided by school. Your child will need something to eat (for the fruit/vegetable break and for the lunch break) and something to drink (e.g. water, unsweetened tea). They will also need gym shoes (all children) and gym clothes (from group 3 and up).
